The Degrowth School is a place to learn about the fundamentals and recent developments in degrowth alike, to meet fellow degrowthers. It offers new ideas for social and political action. The Degrowth Political School seeks to revive the long-standing tradition of political education in the ex-Yugoslavian region. In the face of austerity measures and the depoliticization of sustainability and well-being, we aim to promote active citizenship and critical thinking on the main challenges of our time.
Our focus is on systems analysis rather than an individualist framing of consumer choice, which we believe is insufficient for achieving social well-being and sustainability. By co-creating and supporting knowledge communities, we hope to foster international political debates that can be easily localized among actors in South-Eastern and Central Europe.
Our educational formats are strategically designed to replicate and multiply learning to a politically meaningful scale.
