GREENPATHS: European Knowledge Hub on Just Transition

GREENPATHS, a key initiative funded by the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme, is committed to tackling the complexities of just transitions. Based on a comprehensive review of cutting-edge research, the project aims to develop effective policies that enhance positive outcomes and reduce negative impacts on environmental sustainability and social well-being.

The project will focus on:

Sustainable production and consumption: Prioritising reduced greenhouse gas emissions, biodiversity protection and resilient policies to create sustainable models.

Equitable social models: Advocating for a fair distribution of costs and benefits, decent employment and reduced inequalities in the transition process.

Enhanced citizen participation: Promoting democratic planning and social dialogue for inclusive decision-making.
